Hiring an Ibiza club style saxophonist alongside your DJ is a great way to really kickstart your party and get the dancefloor packed.
Maddy is so versatile that she has a number of different playing options making her an ideal saxophonist for ANY occasion. For 'background' music such as drinks receptions, wedding breakfasts and garden parties, Maddy can perform along to backing tracks. She has hundreds of songs in her repertoire and always happy to learn specific requests. Maddy can also be joined by a pianist or a guitarist to form a duo or trio. Where Maddy really shines is performing 'freestyle' where she improvises and 'riffs' along with the DJ while dancing amongst your guests on the dancefloor.
From experience, when performing with a DJ, we suggest the BEST time for a saxophonist to start would be once everyone has had something to eat from the evening buffet (after guests have already been warmed up by the DJ). The suprise addition of a saxophonist at this point really injects another sense of WOW factor - then it's REALLY time to party!
NOTE - We can offer you special rates when booked alongside our OWN DJs because we take care of all their sound (so they simply arrive and plug straight in to our own equipment) - saving you hiring two sound systems. This also makes the evening run completely smoothly as we've worked together so many times. We find the best playing duration is to perform 3 sets of half an hour. That way it allows the music to evolve (as they play half an hour on, half an hour off). That way, each time they start it's a different style and they build up the tempo, starting on pop/Motown etc and developing into the more dance classics later on.
