Valeria is one of our most popular young wedding harpists for hire in London and the South East. Her performances cover many styles including Classical, Jazz, Blues, Pop and more. She is also one of the few harpists able to amplify herself (optional) making her the perfect harpist for larger events where the music needs rise above background chatter or outdoor ambience.
As a musical prodigy, Valeria took up the harp in Russia age just 8, rising through the Gnessin State Musical College then the Moscow Conservatoire. Since graduating from the Royal College of Music in London, her demand as a professional harpist has taken her to concert halls and prestigious venues all over the world. These include the Royal Albert Hall, Barbican, Cadogan Hall, The National Gallery, Houses of Parliament and even the iTunes festival and Boiler Room Ibiza with the London Electronic Orchestra. NB Valeria is not afraid to explore new boundaries and can use technology to enhance her performances further still. By using a loop pedal (similar to that used by Ed Sheeran for the song 'Shape of you') she's able to record musical passages 'on the fly' then play along with herself building up layers which is incredible to watch as well as hear. (There is an additional charge to include this in her performances as it requires additional equipment and a sound system).
