Important advice before booking a harpist.
When hiring a harpist, only a player that performs 3-4 times a week (for several hours at a time) will maintain the finger strength needed to continuously pluck hard enough to be heard over background chatter. There will always be 'student' harpists willing to undercut on price but it's simply not worth trying to save £50 if you can't hear them! Equally important is the quality of their instrument. An inferior 'student' harp (synthetic strings/plywood) will make them significantly quieter.
Book a professional harpist and you'll be hearing an instrument worth over £20’000 (plus you'll hear songs you want - not examination pieces). All our harpists are music graduates of the highest order and have back-ups in the event of illness, which is peace of mind for such an important occasion.
